Ciaron Maher-trained three-year-old Beach Life impressed in overcoming his wide barrier (15) to score his first win in four starts. Having his second run since resuming, he settled towards the tail of the large field before improving (wide) from the 600m. He moved up to take the lead at the 100m and then went on to win comfortably, running the 1500m out well. It was a really smart effort and he is a horse to watch.
