Clanbrooke Racing Mdn Plate
David Brideoake-trained two-year-old gelding Flypast staged a promising performance in winning here on debut. He did now show much early pace from his good barrier (3) and settled back in ninth place (between runners) before getting a split on turning for home. He challenged at the 100m and finished a bit too well to score in a photo. He is a horse to watch. Lindsay Park-trained colt Tata Madiba raced in third place (on the rails) but was held up at the home turn before getting a split to take the lead at the 100m. He then fought on for a very close second, putting up a nice effort resuming here at this second race start.
