The Paul Messara-trained, Arrowfield-raced two-year-old gelding Lord Cecil did well in winning on debut, albeit in a photo finish. He soon drove through to race outside the leader (Junglized) going at a good tempo. He challenged on turning for home and after quite a battle, he won by the narrowest of margins in a game effort.The Gerald Ryantrained colt Junglized, a winner of one of two of his only prior starts, resumed and went to the front. He was challenged on straightening and then fought well all the way to the post, failing in a photo for a good first up second.
