Progressive Godolphin-raced colt Aramayo advanced quickly to take out this Group 3 race in impressive fashion, his second win in four starts to date. He was eased from his wide barrier (11) and settled second last place in the 15-horse field before improving (deep) on passing the 800m. He moved up strongly (still deep) at the home turn, sprinted strongly, hit the front at the 100m and went on to score comfortably. He looks set to progress to even better things and is a horse to watch. His stablemate Cloak went forward and after being wide early on, crossed to the front at the 1200m. He held a break at the 200m but could not hold off the late-closing winner to finish a very good second after running a bold race. The Mark Newnham-trained filly Greysful Glamour was smartly away, settled in third place before moving up to race outside the leader at the 800m. She challenged on turning for home and kept fighting on in good style to take third in a promising performance. Outrageous began well, settled in fourth place, one out and one back. He was held up between runners on straightening, got a split at the 200m and then battled on for (1.9 lengths) fourth.
