The Mick Price-trained colt Ouyang Feng was quite impressive in winning on debut. He was slow to move but recovered quickly before settling in seventh place, between runners, following a good pace. He angled deeper and into clear running at the 250m and then came with a strong late finish to take a good win. It was a smart effort and he is a horse to watch. The Godolphin-raced colt Gambeson soon crossed to race outside the leader (Keysor). He put pressure on that runner prior to the home turn. He finally got the better of that runner at the 50m only to be caught on the post for second after running a bold race on debut. He also looks promising and he too is a horse to watch.
