Haptic is yet another Godolphin-raced two-year-old to show promise this season with a good debut win. He began well and soon moved through along the rails to retain the lead. He then travelled comfortably despite some early pressure, dashed clear nearing the 200m and fought back well to score with something in hand by half a length. Counterattack raced behind the leader, briefly looked a threat at the 150m and then fought on well for a sound second. Sebring Sun raced in fourth place, one out and one back, put in a run at the 300m and then just kept battling on to take third, beaten just under three lengths. Street Rapper was back in sixth place on the rails and was under riding on a number of occasions. He switched into the clear at the 300m and ran on fairly well for (3.8 lengths) fourth on debut, looking suited to further.
