The James Cummings-trained filly Whispered Secret put up a really promising effort in taking out this Listed race at her fourth race start. Advancing to 1600m here, she settled in seventh place, but caught three wide. She continued to improve nearing the home turn (still deep), before getting to the lead at the 100m. She then drew away to score a very solid win and a good staying performance. Toga Picta was back in second last place in the ten-horse field before tracking up coming to the home turn. He put in a good run to challenge at the 100m and then battled on well for a very good second. All Too Huiying went to the front, ran along at a reasonable pace in the conditions (first 1000m 65.11) and held a good break until passing the 200m. He then fought on nicely for third. Earth Angel was near the tail of the field, got between runners nearing the 200m and ran on solidly for (3.1 lengths) fourth in a very promising effort at only her second race start. A daughter of the multiple Group One winner Miss Finland (Redoute’s Choice), she looks to have a bright career ahead, appearing suited to further still.
