Mick Price-trained filly Sailing By followed thirds at her first two starts to win quite well here. She began well from her inside barrier (1) and then eased to race in fourth place on the rails before easing into clear running on straightening. She challenged coming to the 200m and then dug deep for a narrow but good win. Strike Force was one of a trio of leaders (racing in the centre) before going to the front at the 300m. He then fought back well after working in the early stages for a good second on debut. Sir Sagamore was back in eighth place, wide with cover. He switched deep shortly after turning for home and ran on in good style for a close-up third.
