Browns Sawdust & Shavings-Bm64
Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained filly Burgundy Lass scored a good first-up win. She settled in third place from her inside barrier (1), enjoying a good trip behind the leaders. She got a rails run to hit the front on passing the 300m and then fought back well for a good win, her second in four runs to date. Central Park Belle, from the Jason Warren stable, raced in fifth place but caught three wide without cover. She moved up well to challenge at the 200m and then fought really well for a good second, her second such placing in two starts so far. It was a promising effort.
