Congrats Chip Le Grand Mdn
Four-year-old Spreadeagled, having his first run for the Robert Smerdon stable after finishing second in two of his first five starts in New Zealand, scored a good first-up win. He settled nicely back in fifth place, behind a moderate tempo. He moved up well rounding the home turn, challenged at the 200m and finished too well, appearing to win with something in hand. He should appreciate further and looks to have a good future in Australia. Three-year-old Septamore went to the front, steadied the pace, got a break at the 300m and was only headed nearing the post for a sound second.
