Mike Moroney-trained three-year-old War Legend followed sound performances in recent stakes races at Morphettville to score a really good win here. He was quickly away before settling nicely in sixth place, wide without cover. He moved up strongly on passing the 400m, hit the front at the 200m and then drew away to win comfortably in an impressive effort.
