The Lindsay Park-trained colt, Shadwell-raced colt Barjeel, who had not finished further back than fourth in his first three starts, won very well here at his second run this preparation. He settled in sixth place, one off the rails, improved nicely at the home turn, got to the front at the 200m and then went on to win quite impressively in a most promising effort.
