The three-year-old colt Happy Galaxy registered his fourth successive win in taking out this Group Two event and continued his quick rise through the classes after winning his first stakes race at his previous start, the Zeditave Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on 26 January. He travelled along easily outside the leader (Hurrara) before forging to the lead at the 100m and going on to win comfortably, albeit by half length at the post. The experienced seven-year-old Skytrain had a good run in fifth place on the rails before getting a nice run through to third at the 100m, then fighting on well for a good second. Centennial Park was about sixth, three wide with cover, to the turn. He switched out on straightening and finished well for a good first-up third. Tougher Than Ever (formerly Warhorse) had his first Australian start and was trapped three wide without cover. He moved up, still wide, nearing the turn and held well for a sound fourth. The veteran Danleigh was a late closing fifth, in a nice first up effort, the tiring leader Hurrara was sixth with Albert The Fat finishing on well for seventh, at his first start in almost nine months. *ANZ
