Manoeuvring settled in a good spot from his wide barrier (11) racing in fifth place, between runners. He got an inside run rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 200m and went to the post with something in hand to score comfortably by just over a length for a nice win, his first in three starts. It was also an excellent ride by Hugh Bowman. The Chris Waller-trained filly Miss Denni settled back in ninth place from her difficult barrier (10), wide with cover. She put in a good run (wide) nearing the home turn, challenged strongly at the 150m then fought on for a sound second.
