French-raced mare Defrost My Heart impressed in scoring her first Australian win, stepping up to 2200m here at her third start since joining the Chris Waller stable. She settled particularly well in third place before moving up strongly to take the lead on turning into the home straight. She momentarily looked under threat at the 200m but then drew clear to win well, running the 2200m out strongly in the heavy conditions. She appears suited to further still and is a promising staying mare.
