Godolphin’s filly Ghisoni impressed winning here on debut. She was a bit slow to move but soon drove through to race with a trio of leaders (racing in centre). She was under riding by James McDonald from the home turn until she took the lead at the 200m and then lifted and went on to score easily, with her ears pricked. She should appreciate further and looks a filly with a bright future. Involving soon improved to settle in fifth place on the rails from her good barrier (3). She switched across heels on turning for home, got to second at the 100m and battled on quite well to just hold that position at the post. Gerald Ryan-trained filly Crystal Flute was eased from her outside barrier (15) and raced in last place until nearing the home turn. She improved in the centre on straightening and ran on very well along the rails for a late-closing third in an eyecatching effort at her second race start; she is a filly to watch. Sound Works settled midfield, between runners, switched deep (under riding) at the home turn and then ran on particularly well for a closeup fourth, putting up a promising effort at her third race start.
