A number of promising efforts in this two-year-old fillies’ race, all racing on debut. Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Quick Feet was a bit slow to move but soon improved along the rails from her inside barrier (1) to settle in fourth place, following a solid tempo. She got an inside run to challenge shortly after turning for home and finished a bit too well in the closing stages for a narrow but good win. Gai Waterhouse-trained Serena’s Pride went to the front and set a good pace. She remained a bit deep on straightening and then raced a little greenly in the straight but still fought back for a good second. Mooshakissa, a stablemate of the winner, raced back in eighth place on the rails. She stuck to the inner rounding the home turn and made good ground (under riding) to grab third nearing the post. Godolphin’s Palomino raced outside the leader most of the way to the home turn and held on quite well for (1.7 lengths) fourth while Bjorn Baker-trained Too Fast For Love fought well for (1.9 lengths) fifth after being trapped deep outside the leading pair from a wide barrier (10).
