Les Bridge-trained filly Zenalicious, having her third run this preparation, broke through for her first win in four starts, doing so in most promising fashion. She was in fifth place, between runners, in the eight-horse field coming to the 800m, took a split (under riding) on straightening, rallied well to get to the front at the 100m and went on to score with something in hand, looking suited to further. She is a filly to watch. Chris Waller-trained filly Cross Stitch was back in sixth place, improved (deep) nearing the home turn, challenged strongly at the 200m and battled well for second, her second placing in two starts to date.
