Chris Waller-trained three-year-old gelding Cosmic Engine is followed his first up win in a Newcastle Class 1 (1200m) on 17 June with a good win here. He settled in sixth place, but caught deep from his wide barrier (11). He moved up (remaining wide out on the track) rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 100m and then went on to win easily
