Lightly raced Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained fouryear-old gelding Montreal has now raced three times for two wins after resuming here with an impressive win at his first start for 12 months. He began well, went to the front and then set a good pace before turning for home with a clear advantage. He then went on to win very easily and in fast time (56.31). It was a very smart win and he now looks likely to progress to far better things.
