Warwick Farm trainer Joseph Pride’s long and successful association with the Parfore family is slowly coming to an end despite the brilliant speedster Ball Of Muscle adding to its long list of success with his win in the G3 Heath Stakes at Caulfield.
Pride admitted the Dubawi gelding’s latest win was special following the retirement of his siblings Terravista and Tiger Tees, both noted G1 winners produced by Parfore.
“It’s getting to the end of an era after Terravista and Tiger Tees, his brothers,” he said. “This bloke is the last one left and I’m very proud of their achievements.”Tiger Tees (Dubawi) is a brother to Ball Of Muscle and won the G1 Galaxy for Pride while half-brother Tiger Tees (Captain Rio) claimed the G1 Darley Classic and the G1 Lightning Stakes at Flemington.NZ-bred mare Parfore (Gold Brose) has been honoured with numerous awards for her breeding success with all her nine foals to race being winners.
Her other foals include G3 winner and Singapore Horse of the Year Super Easy (Darci Brahma), five time Listed winner Our Lukas (Generous) and the multiple winners Balestrand (Zabeel), Frustrating (Stravinsky), Ininthree (Generous) and Our Boy Lukas (Faltaat)Frustrating is the dam of the dual Listed winner Long Leaf (Fastnet Rock).
Parfore is a daughter of Classy Twiggy (Twig Moss), also the dam of G3 winner Mosse (O’Reilly).The family also features G1 winner Il Quello Veloce (Captain Rio).
Ball Of Muscle, bred in 2010, has won 10 of his 34 starts with 14 placings to be just short of $1 million prizemoney.NSW stud farm Kitchwin Hills did not have wait long for a return on their investment in former Perth mare Ellicazoom.
The classy daughter of Testa Rossa won the G3 Cockram Stakes at Caulfield at her first start for her new owners after they secured the 5YO for $420,000 at this year’s Magic Millions Perth Winter Mixed Sale, setting a record for an auction sale in WA..Now with David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig in Victoria, she was formerly trained by Neville Parnham and was a Listed winner at Ascot and a multiple G2 placegetter in Perth and Melbourne.
She was originally sourced for $180,000 from the 2015 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale by Parnham and has now raced 18 times for three wins, six placings and $426,574 in stakes.Ellicazoom (Testa Rossa) is one of four winners from four foals to race from Fimiston’s G1 winner and G2 placed Ellicoram. They include El Doute, a young son of Redoute’s Choice, who is standing his first season at stud in New Zealand.

His dam Belong To Many recorded eight wins including the G2 Sapphire Stakes and three Listed races.She is the dam two winners from three foals to the race.
