His name says it all and powerhouse chaser Big Energy trained by Kel and Jackie Greenhough will return back to where his career began in Western Australia as he enters the realm to win the second edition of The Sandgroper worth $600,000 in prize money.
The son of Aussie Infrared has had some huge performances in his 31 start career having won 14 races. He was runner up in Group One races The Adelaide and Melbourne Cups and the Group Two Cranbourne Cup. Not to mention his big race breakthrough when winning last year's Group Three Sandown Shootout.
It will be a nostalgic return to home for Big Energy whom started his career racing at Cannington under the astuteful eye of Robert Westworth. And with this in mind track knowledge is a major factor as The Sandgroper will be run and won at the Cannington circuit. A track that Big Energy has previously posted a very quick 29.72 victory at.
