Three Of The Best For Wentworth Park Saturday

3 minute read

Racing returns to Wentworth Park Saturday night after last weeks extravaganza of Group One racing. All the hard work is done for you as we provide three top tips for the meeting so lets load up and get the cash.

We begin the pursuit for winners later in the evening setting our sights on Race 7 The Ladbrokes Switch Dogs Only Final. Astute trainer Michael Ivers has Trooper Tears in box 1 and with a super heat win in 29.84 last week and the move from box 8 to box 1 for the final. The son of Goodesy looks great value at $2.30 fixed odds with ladbrokes.

The young pup has won 3 of his 4 starts and has run good times up the straight at Richmond prior to his debut here last week. He looks a promising young pup out of a great producing line and is the market mover. I'm making Trooper Tears my best bet of the evening.

The Jodie Lord trained Punter's Bandit appears in Race 8 from box 3. Fresh off a heat win at Gosford in the Summer Six Series over the 603 metres. She ran a best of night time from the four heats and ran a 29.87 in the 5th grade heat here at Wentworth Park prior to that.

Punter's Bandit won the Gosford Cup just a few weeks ago and she was very unlucky in a heat of the Group One Futurity a fortnight ago.She looks nicely boxed in the 3 box and the $2.80 fixed odds with Ladbrokes look juicy. It's a good field but she meets other runners here that she has previously beaten.

Our last bet of the night is just one race later as we take a look at Race 9 The Where Else But Wenty Stake. This is a class field of runners and a number of greyhounds could win. However I've landed on the Chris O'Brien trained Mortified. She bombed the start completely here at Wentworth Park last week in the Group One Futurity Final.

With a clean break she looks a class above these and her prior form off inside boxes is good. She does meet the likes of Ibrox Wildfire who nearly beat Amron Boy two weeks ago and Wyndra All Class who beat her last week in The Futurity but I do think this is her race and with better box manners she should be leading and winning.

Ladbrokes are offering $2.90 fixed odds and this is a better price than the $1.85 she started last week in The Futurity. Mortified is a classy bitch and has won a Free for All here at Wentworth park in quick time and she was classy a few months ago winning the Million Dollar Chase Regional Final at Dapto.

She may have been one run short going into the Futurity Final and she looks to be more than competitive in this field Saturday. Chris O' Brien is an astute trainer and no doubt will have her firing on all cylinders come Saturday night.
