We’ve found two horses to follow from Morphettville on Saturday.

Race 5: Sea What I See

She's come to the end of her prep now but I'm keen to follow this mare wherever Danny O'Brien targets her in the Melbourne spring. Running to 106 on the Racing and Sports scale to take out the Listed Centaurea Stakes (2000m), the four-year-old rates as the second-best winner of the race in the last 20 years, with only Foxy Frida a pound better in 2022. Following the win, the mare has been placed equal favourite in early betting for the Caulfield Cup (2400m), while this may be an overaction, there's little doubting she will run the trip and she'd be well-placed to knock off a few key lead-ups.

Race 6: Boognish

Boognish was a barnstorming winner of a thrilling Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes (1200m), with a length separating the first six across the line. Taken straight back from the outside draw under the riding of Jamie Kah, the pair would let rip with the strongest run home to arrive just in time and score by a neck. Running to 103 on the R&S scale, Boognish finally broke through the elusive 100 mark at her 12th start. The training duo of W Clarken & N O'Shea look to have found the trick to their mare, keeping her fresh with 28 days between runs and dropping her back from 1500m. Stamping herself as more of a sprinting type after the Group 3 success, the partnership have circled with a big red marker the Behemoth Stakes (Spring Stakes) (1200m) on August 17. Her new peak puts her right in the mix but with further improvement she should take some stitching.
