Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher and David Eustace (Ciaron speaking)
Typical New Zealand stayer: "He's by Tavistock out of a Zabeel mare and I was saying how much he has furnish for an older horse since last prep. He looks fantastic in the skin. He put the writing on the wall first-up and Matty Cartwright is riding with his tail up. He had a great run last week and that was a beautiful ride. He just relaxed and rode like a senior jockey. He waited to get out, didn't panic and got the bob on the line. It was beautiful."
What's next: "He'll keep bobbing through the grades. He's a gelding that is still furnishing and I reckon he'll do better next year. He's a progressive horse that is just starting to come to hand."
On Enthaar in Adams Stakes: "She is fairly black and white. She got beaten in three-year-old company to start off last time and does improve a bit. She is a little bit tricky and that is why we have spaced her runs. She seems to have pulled-up alright and I think it was just a bit of freshness. She was in the death, I suppose you would call it, it's a very awkward position to be in and finish off. I haven't lost faith in her, but she was disappointing today."
Winning Jockey: Matthew Cartwright
Bided time: "He seemed to jump really well but there was a little bit of pace. I came back to the fence and let him travel and he got a lovely run. He was breathing well and although he dropped the bit early, he was really strong late. The inside horse kicked back and I didn't know if I had actually won. He was going to win comfortably until that horse kicked back. He's going really well."
On recent form: "I've been getting really good support and off the spring I was riding in a lot of stakes races, riding with the bigger and better jockeys. I think that's improved me a lot and I've brought that into summer and hopefully I can keep the support going. It's going really well and I think that's the major improvement."
