Fine weather is expected with the track rated a Good 4, while the rail remains out 9m across the circuit.

We've run the rule over the entire meeting and our best bets can be found below.

RACE 1 - 12:25PM: Sportsbet Jockey Watch Plate (1000 METRES)

Blue Renegade looks the safe bet in an open race featuring a number of debutants.

Matthew Ellerton's Irish-bred colt was runner-up on debut on the Heath track at Caulfield three weeks ago, seen speeding into a narrow lead at the 100m mark before being worn down by the horse along the inside.

Off that, there's no doubt he'll take plenty of improvement into his second-up assignment with Damian Lane likely to adopt front-running tactics again from a soft gate.

RACE 2 - 1:00PM: Senet Gambling Law Experts Handicap (1000 METRES)

Lady Di Di is an honest type that presents fitter now with three runs under her belt.

By Written Tycoon, Cliff Brown's mare returned in great order winning over the same trip at Cranbourne, and was most recently seen back in the money at Mornington three weeks ago where she charged late along the rail for third.

Compared to her previous effort at Flemington, that was a nice bounce back performance with some good late splits to back it up.

Proven under Blake Shinn and drawn to get right back in the run, she should prove just as hard to hold out.

RACE 3 - 1:35PM: Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1800 METRES)

Burlington Gate gets out past the mile for the first time with a couple of solid placings to her name leading in.

Michael Moroney's three-year-old filly by The Autumn Sun has been strong through the line in both runs this time in work, letting down with a turn of foot to run third at Mornington three weeks ago from a wide position.

She should find this a little easier back to BM64 level providing she gets the right run from midfield.

RACE 4 - 2:10PM: LockettLED.au Handicap (1300 METRES)

Nova Lights made it look easy when winning under hands and heels at Bendigo third-up a few weeks back.

This daughter of Lean Mean Machine went through the gear with relative ease down the straight, extending to win by 6.5 lengths over a pretty handy filly in runner-up from the Peter Moody stable.

The rise in class from a sticky barrier is the obvious knock, but in with just 59.5kg under Luke Currie, she'll take beating again if the pair can find cover early.

RACE 5 - 2:45PM: Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Handicap (1300 METRES)

Scorch looks a genuine each-way chance in one of the more open races on the program.

The lightly-raced four-year-old has gone close in both runs since returning to work in March, placing first-up on the Heath track at Caulfield where the ride run in transit went against him.

The son of Impending was runner-up three weeks later here on the Lakeside track, overcoming some late traffic issues to finish two lengths off Pivot City – who has since gone on to run a place in a Group 2 at Morphettville.

RACE 6 - 3:20PM: Tile Importer Handicap (1000 METRES)

Light Wish is unlucky not to be undefeated still.

This three-year-old filly by Written Tycoon was enormous on debut at Cranbourne in May, stalking the pace in the early stages where she exploded to go on and win by five lengths.

She charged late to find a narrow lead at Caulfield three weeks ago out to 1200m, only run down late by She's Bulletproof just before the post.

Back to 1000m now and drawn a much better gate with Craig Williams retaining the ride, she'll be in this for a long way.

RACE 7 - 3:55PM: Stow Storage Solutions Handicap (2400 METRES)

Roaring Engine is worth sticking with despite a rather flat effort at Bendigo last time we saw him.

The son of Reliable Man was taken back and caught slightly wide into the home turn, finishing seven lengths down the order over the same trip after a month between runs.

He's been given another good break, but does have likeable form around the likes of Excelleration and The Map coming out of the Adelaide Cup.

If he can get across early and handle 62kg this time, he should be winning.

RACE 8 - 4:30PM: Sportsbet Bet With Mates Handicap (1500 METRES)

Angry Skies finds it tough to win at times, but this four-year-old by Toronado does appeal at likeable odds third-up from a spell.

The Hayes-trained gelding ran on late down the outside for third on the Lakeside track first-up, before giving good chase when splitting a pair of runners to finish fifth at Bendigo last month.

Proven over the 1500m trip and set to peak now, this looks a winnable assignment with the claim put to good use.
