After an emotion-charged day in Hobart last Sunday, racing returns to the synthetic surface in Devonport on Wednesday for the first time since the Cup was held there in early January.

Another treble

After a slow start to the season trainer John Keys (who has taken over most of the Scott Brunton team) is starting to launch an assault on the trainers premiership moving to third, just two off the pace after another treble in Hobart on Sunday. It’s the second consecutive Hobart meeting where Keys has trained three winners.

Blacker stable set to continue winning streak

Launceston Cup-winning trainer John Blacker had a successful summer carnival in Tasmania and he is hoping the stable can find more winners at Wednesday night’s meeting in Launceston.
