The JRA Cup is a Group 3 race run under Quality Handicap conditions for open class horses at Moonee Valley conducted by the Moonee Valley Racing Club.

The JRA Cup is run over 2040m. It was first run in 1993 and was won by Native Zam.

The JRA Cup has always been run at Moonee Valley and over this distance. However it was moved from the September date until pre-Cox Plate day.

The JRA Cup was unlisted then became Listed in 1996 before becoming a Group 3 from 2010.

Maldivian and El Segundo won Cox Plates but not in the same year as their JRA Cup wins.

The JRA Cup was worth $200,000 in 2023.

The 2023 JRA Cup was won by Ain'tnodeeldun from Red Sun Sensation and Forgot You.
