Race favourite Camporella jumped nicely from her wide barrier to be in the first three but was posted a fraction wide for the first 300m. She eventually crossed to sit outside the leader Princess Hallowell. As the field straightened for home, Camporella was still under a tight hold before letting down strongly at the 300m to establish a two length buffer over her rivals. Despite tiring late she was able to hold on for a narrow victory. This was consecutive stakes wins for Camporella after winning the Perth Magic Millions 2YO Classic at her previous outing. Her record now reads 3 wins from 5 starts for $233,300 prize money. Vampi Lass ran home resolutely from well back while Busimiss boxed on OK for third after enjoying the run of the race behind the leaders.
