He was smartly away from barrier ten and after leading early on, settled in third place on the rails. He got through on the inner to take the lead shortly after straightening and then held on to score by a short head after enjoying an ideal trip. Coolring raced in fourth place (one out and one back), put in a good run to be in a challenging position at the 200m and kept battling on well, making late ground for second. Snippets Land settled well back in the 14-horse field, fanned deep from the 300m and then came with a strong late finish for a close-up third.
