Transfers began quickly and went straight to the lead. She was travelling strongly coming to the home turn, grabbed a break passing the 200m and fought back nicely to win by a length and a half. It was only her second start after making her debut with a sixth at Warwick Farm in April. She looks a very useful filly. Aztec Rose worked a bit early from her outside barrier (10) but managed to get into a good spot, fourth one out and one back, at the 600m. She moved up at the turn, went to second at the 200m and fought on nicely to hold that position to the post. Caught In The Act was trapped wide early before getting to second outside the leader at the 600m. She then held on quite well in the straight for a sound third. The Gooree-raced Brilliant Crystal was second last to the 600m and ran on well late for a promising fourth for James and Bart Cummings. *ANZ
