The consistent Ecuador put up a good effort to win. He showed good pace from barrier two and drove through to hold the lead. He was then pressured in front but drew clear at the 200m and he staged a very gutsy performance to race away in the final stages for an impressive win. Vision In Motion had a good run being handily place about fourth one off the rails most of the way before putting in a quick run nearing the home turn. He went to second at the 300m and battled on to just hold that position, having no chance with the winner.
