Leotie followed her good second to promising filly I Am A Star (I Am Invincible) in the Quezette Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) here on 13 August with a really smart win here, her second win from four starts to date. She settled well in fourth place, one out and one, behind a moderate tempo (first 800m 51.77) before improving nearing the home turn. She took the lead at the 200m and then went on to score comfortably. Sebrikka settled in last place in the six-horse field, fanned deep at the home turn and came with a strong late finish for a good second, putting up a smart effort by making ground in the sprint home. Perfectly Safe began well and soon went to the front. She then steadied the pace and kept battling back well in the straight, holding on nicely for third.
