Voodoo Lad topped a million dollars in earnings with win ten (fourth stakes) to go along with nine placings from 22 starts. Out of barrier six, Voodoo Lad was allowed to settle fifth, one off the fence under Brad Rawiller. Near the last corner, Rawiller eased him another width wider and turning in they had a nice view of the run home, balanced passing the 300m, cruised up to co-lead at the 150m then raced clear to put the race away comfortably - a convincing win. So Si Bon was last down the side (rails) as well as into the straight then pulled wide to flash home strongly down the middle but too late. Crystal Dreamer was third into the straight, could not accelerate with the leaders but rallied for third at the line from Sheidel, who was second at the 300m and lost third just short of the line.
