Beginning well, Fast 'N' Rocking was handy early but as the race unfolded continued to drift to be slightly forward of mid-field down the side. In between runners, he found a split just prior to straightening and had a great view at the 300m. He sidled up to the leader at the 200m and then went stride for stride, nudging ahead just short of the line for a solid win. Religify led for most of the journey, accelerated before they straightened but was collared by the winner at the 200m then fought hard only to lose late. Dibayani was unlucky, well back on the rails before the last corner then threading his way between runners the length of the straight to grab a good third from Coldstone, who had every chance in the home straight to hold fourth.
