Wicked Intent maintained his unbeaten record after three starts and became a firmer favourite for next month’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m) with another most impressive performance. He was quickly away and settled nicely outside the leader Mishani Di Caprio before easily taking the lead on passing the 300m. The then went on to win with his ears pricked by just over fourth lengths, sprinting home his final 600m in 34.42 in the Soft6 conditions. Mishani Di Caprio showed his usual good pace and led the field into the straight before battling on soundly for second, being outclassed by the winner. It’s Vegas Baby was third on the rails to the home turn and held on for a distant third, finishing almost eight lengths behind the winner. Shipwrecked made up late ground, coming from eighth at the 600m, to finish (8.6 lengths) fourth.
