Centennial Park appreciated the drop back in class with a good win here finishing on strongly from well back in the field to register some smart sectionals in the closing stages of the race to score a narrow but good victory. Star Of Giselle enjoyed a lovely run in the race on the quarters of the leader. She was nursed into the race and quickened up well but just found the winner a little too good in the closer stages of the race. British General was good in defeat, he raced mid field three wide facing the breeze throughout. To his credit he ranged up to win but just tired a little late on, a good effort.
