Craig Williams gave Anatina a good trip, trailing the front-running Son Senoras before switching inside that filly and going to the rails at the 300m. She took the lead at the 200m and then fought on gamely for a very good win. The favourite Gregers was ridden quietly about eighth in the centre of the course before putting in a dash on passing the 300m. She moved to second at the 100m and kept fighting on for a sound second after appearing to have every chance. Tango’s Daughter raced in the centre of the track, about sixth before making a run at the 300m point. She got to third at the 100m and kept battling on to hold that position to the post. Hard Stride ($31) ran on quite well from second last in the 12-horse field at the 800m to finish fourth, beaten two and a half lengths. *ANZ
