The classy filly Solicit showed her usual pace and settled in second place, outside the leader (Miss Rose De Lago). She went to the lead at the 300m and kept fighting on, appearing to change stride a number of times, but she still fought back for a solid win. She should also appreciate stepping up further in distance. Consistent filly Marianne recorded her fourth successive second. She had a good run, following the winner, racing one out and one back to the turn. She challenged at the 200m and kept fighting gamely to be beaten one length. Suavito was back in fifth place on the rails to the turn. She switched out nearing the 300m and ran on nicely for a good first-up third. Girl In Flight travelled in seventh place, but three wide. She put in a good run at the 200m and did well to take fourth after a wide trip. WA mare Miss Rose De Lago led until the 300m and held on for fifth while the promising filly Holy Cow was eighth, one off the rails, to the turn and kept fighting on for sixth, beaten four and half lengths, putting up a sound effort considering she is eligible for much easier classes. *ANZ
