Joint second favourite after her good second in the Ethereal Stakes (Gr 3, 2000m) at her previous start, Tiamo Grace got away fairly but was allowed to settle, one off the rail just back of midfield in the first 400m. Jockey, Damian Lane, crept forward, three wide down the side past the 800m and a little closer approaching the last corner. They had a great view upon straightening and cruised up out in the middle of the track to be almost level with the leaders. The filly then lengthened stride which carried her to the lead inside the 100m after which she pulled clear to win decisively at the post. Favourite Sebring Dream was wide around the big bend (just in front of the winner), moved closer as they straightened then ranged up to the leaders passing the 300m. She finished on well but could not hold out the winner over the last 100m for a clear second. Missrock had a lovely run in fourth around the bend, got the split at the 300m and did best of the rest to hold on for third.
