Detours had a good run sixth one off the rails before switching out to make her run shortly after turning for home. She was still giving the leader about five lengths at the 200m but she ran on resolutely to grab a last stride win, putting up a good effort. Karuta Queen showed her customary dash, leading most of the way. She dashed clear at the 300m and looked the winner, being caught right at the post, beaten only a short neck. Outsider Punch On was seventh on the rails, eased out passing the 300m and ran on surprisingly well for a close third. The NZ mare Petty Cury was third on the rails to the turn and held on quite well for a first-up fourth at her Australian debut. The favourite Bound To Blush was third without cover to the turn, put in a run at the 200m and kept fighting on to finish fifth, beaten just over a length. Emotional Circus (sixth) and Pane In The Glass (seventh) both put in late finishing runs, making up a lot of ground in the straight. *ANZ
