Beaudragon, a three-year-old from the Gerald Ryan stable, won well beating older rivals at his first start in this Maiden Plate. He was smartly away and immediately crossed to the lead. He then settled nicely in front, setting an average tempo before slipping clear on turning for home. He eased down nearing the post to win comfortably by just under a length and looks quite promising.
