The Chris Waller-trained filly Flagpoles looks a promising staying filly after advancing quickly to 1600m at her second race start to win here. She settled nicely back in fourth place, one off the rails, was under riding nearing the 600m, fanned deep at the home turn and then kept running on solidly to grab a narrow but good win at the post. She will appreciate further still and is a horse to watch.
