Nmit Kyneton Cup
Tristram’s Sun began well from his wide barrier (10) and Vlad Duric then eased him to settle in a nice spot, sixth between runners before moving up to track three wide (with cover) from the 1200m. He switched out nearing the home turn, sprinted up quickly to hit the lead on straightening and then drew clear for a decisive two length win. Extra Zero was about seventh between runners in a packed field at the 800m. He improved nicely coming to the turn, ducked back towards the rails on straightening to challenged shortly afterwards. He then fought on for a sound second after seeming to have every chance. The favourite Kenjorwood was caught midfield and wide from barrier 11 for a fair way before finally getting some cover (three wide) at the 800m. He challenged coming to the turn and kept fighting on very well for a good third with his equal top weight (58.5kg) after a difficult trip.
