Gregers was smartly away and soon crossed to the lead. She travelled nicely in front setting an average early tempo (first 600m 36.81). She dashed clear rounding the home turn and went on to win comfortably by a length and three quarters, sprinting home last 600m in 35.11. The Huntress was third on the rails, moved through to second at the 150m and battled on nicely in the sprint home to hold that position to the post. Pindan Pearl raced outside the leader to the turn. She was under pressure on straightening and held on for third, beaten just under four lengths.
