Thump put up a good effort to win. She began well and drove through from her inside barrier (1) to retain the lead but was then pressured in front before she grabbed a break on turning for home. She then went on to score impressively by just over two lengths. Miracles Of Life jumped away well but was eased to race in sixth place one off the rails. She improved wide with cover from the 600m, fanned wide to challenge at the home turn. She got to second at the 100m and then battled on to hold that position to the post after seeming to have every chance. I Love It raced in third place on the rails to the turn and held on quite well to take the minor placing just in front of Cosmic Endeavour who fought on nicely for fourth after being trapped wide most of the way. *ANZ
