Mourinho enjoyed a nice run fourth on the fence racing on the back of the leader Fast And Free. He switched out across heels on cornering into the clear and finished on gamely to score well. Hvasstan settled down on the back of the winner in eighth position on the fence. He got a nice run along the fence finishing on well for second. The eye-catching run came from The United States who settled down in tenth position three wide with a trail. He commenced a wide move from the 600m before taking the home turn on the extreme outside. He finished on well to grab third late. Blackie had a nice run in the race in fifth position between horses. He battled on gamely in the straight for fourth. A sound effort.
