Our Vidia created a very good impression, running on strongly to win on debut. She settled back in eighth place in the 12-horse field, following a strong tempo. She moved up wide from the 600m, got to third at the 100m and then finished too well to score by a half-length. Miss Idyllic was ridden hard to retain the lead from her inside barrier (1). She skipped clear rounding the home turn and was only run down in the closing stages for a good (half length) second, putting up a good performance after her early efforts. Destiny’s Reward was trapped deep in seventh place from his wide barrier (11). He moved up (wide) from the 600m, got to second at the 100m and fought on for a close-up third after a difficult trip. The favourite Parcel began quickly but was then caught three wide outside the leading duo after starting from the outside barrier (12). She was under pressure nearing the home turn and dropped out, after a hard run, to finish last.
