Steel Frost likes Morphettville and took out his second Listed race here while maintaining a very good strike rate of nine wins in 18 starts. He began well, held the rails to trail second then third into the first corner and had the run of the race around the bend and into the straight. Jockey Todd Pannell just needed a run and at the 300m and got it. He ran up to challenge and had a decent tussle to the 100m before coming away to score convincingly by a length and a half. Schism led from soon after the start, put a couple of lengths on them at the 300m and gave the winner a good fight to the 100m before relenting for a sound second from Lord Aspen who ran up to challenge into the straight and battled his way to the line, barely holding on for a distant third.
