The lightly raced filly Keyarna Blue stepped up to win at Listed class here at her fourth start. She settled down last on the rails in the 12-horse field following a moderate pace (first 1000m 1.3.08). She got away from the rails nearing the home turn, switched out at the 200m and came with a late run, scoring a soft win at the post, by half-length. Hazard was about ninth one of the rails before tracking up well from the 600m point. She went to the centre of the track on straightening, looked the winner when she took the lead at the 100m, only to be run down nearing the post, finishing a sound half-length second. Mama’s Choice was second last to the 600m, went very wide on turning for home and made up a lot of ground in the sprint home for a good third, beaten only half-length. *ANZ
